The Łódź Cross-City Line is an under construction railway line running through the centre of the city of Łódź, Poland, intended to connect three major railway stations of the city: Łódź Kaliska, Łódź Fabryczna, and Łódź Widzew. It consists of two sections: an open-air section between Łódź Widzew and Łódź Niciarniana stations, and a tunnel, currently reaching Łódź Fabryczna station.

Warsaw cross-city line
Warsaw cross-city line () is a 7 km railway line crossing Central Warsaw in the east–west direction. Opened in 1933 and electrified in 1936, it initially had two tracks, with an additional two added in 1967.
Education in Łódź
Łódź is home to three major state-owned universities and a number of smaller schools of higher education. The biggest is the University of Łódź and for the last four years the best students in Łódź (according to the prestigious contest "Studencki Nobel") have been studying there - in 2009 the regional laureate was Piotr Pawlikowski, in 2010 - Joanna Dziuba, in 2011 and 2012 - Paweł Rogaliński.
